Julia Johnson
Julia Johnson is a Los Angeles-based photographer and creative director who is transitioning into a new solo venture after working for JUCO Photo. Her work features a vibrant and character-driven aesthetic, oozing with color.
We helped her in showcasing her aesthetic through her brand and website. The custom typeface with bold geometric shapes provides a striking background to highlight the photos, while the use of Helvetica creates a neutral framework. As Julia's work is timeless, we aimed to balance the bold colors with the quality that shines through in her work.
Color is used to accentuate the photos by loading blocks of color, and bold dots are used for rollovers.
A variety of papers reflecting dominant colors from photos were used for print materials and emphasized in duplex business cards.
